Covid Policy Statement

 

GGT is committed to providing a safe and healthy workplace for all involved.  To ensure that, we have developed the following COVID-19 Response Plan. All involved are responsible for the implementation of this plan and a combined effort will help contain the spread of the virus.

We will:

·         Continue to monitor our COVID-19 response and amend this plan in consultation with our team
·         Put in place a reporting system
·         Inform all involved of essential hygiene and respiratory etiquette and physical distancing requirements
·         Adapt the workplace to facilitate physical distancing
·         Keep a contact log to help with contact tracing
·         Have all the team undergo an induction online and daily temperature checks
·         Develop a procedure to be followed in the event of someone showing symptoms of COVID-19 while at work or in the workplace
·         Feedback is encouraged on any concerns, issues or suggestions.  This can be done through the COVID-19 Prime Fintan or Back up Florinda
·         Process have been updated to comply with COVID-19 Guidelines

o   There are three options for collection this year, subject to change based most recent HSE guidelines

§  Traditional Method

§  Purchase and drop off at one of three locations between specific times

§  Purchase and ship to one of three locations, note address may vary depending on if ship or drop off

The current plan is that only 2 people will collect and sort.  However, depending on host requests for us to collect and in line with current COVID-19 guidelines, we may ask more of the team to get involved.  

 

o   Sorting in Barons (GGT Grotto Location) will only be carried out by two people at a time, this may be increased based on space available to sort, this will be decided closer to collection day based on most recent COVID-19 guidelines.

o   All GGT Volunteers will wear masks, regularly sanitize their hands and comply with social distancing requirements during collections and sorting.  

o   COPE and Simon will be taking direct delivery and drop of this year and they will apply their own COVID-19 policies in those locations.
